Pizza Dosa is a wonderful snack, an Italian influenced South Indian meal, with the goodness of Dosa, vegetables and cheese. For all Kids, Pizza is a coveted food, but since Maida is not very healthy, I try to make variations like whole wheat Pizza or Pizza Dosa. My little one love anything with cheese and I try to make snacks or breakfast with cheese fillings like Cheesy Potato croquettes, Pizza Dosa, whole wheat Pizza coins etc. This recipe is something I came up with, just to make him eat healthy food; Pizza toppings on Dosa Base, and it is very easy to prepare as well. All you need is some dosa batter, Mozzarella cheese and vegetables or any other Pizza toppings like chicken, Paneer, corn etc. And the little ones are going to love you for this delicious Pizza Dosas!! As you all know, it is hard to please those little taste buds; and all mothers are required to wear their innovative aprons for creating magic out of their kitchen!! The visual appeal and the taste plays a big role when you prepare for kids. So, make your Pizza Dosa colorful, mix and match all those ingredients that your kids love to eat, like- chicken, sausage, paneer, mushroom, corn, capsicum, Tomatoes etc. You can also go for Margherita Style, with only sauce and cheese. So, wipe the sweat off your face and get ready to receive all those saucy, cheesy kisses.. 🙂

|Dosa Batter||: as required|
|Onion||: 1 no.|
|Tomato||: 1 no.|
|Capsicum/ Bell Pepper||: 1 small|
|Grated Mozzarella/ Pizza cheese||: as required (1 cup)|
|Tomato Sauce||: 1 ½ tbsp.|
|Ginger Garlic paste||: ¼ tsp|
|Oregano/ Pizza spice mix||: 1 small pinch|
|Pepper Pdr / Paprika powder||: one pinch|
Chop the vegetables, add pepper or paprika powder, sprinkle salt and mix well. Mix the ginger garlic paste and oregano/ Pizza spice with the tomato sauce. Add this to the chopped veggies and mix well. Grate the cheese and keep aside. Heat the tawa and pour enough Dosa batter to make a thick round dosa. Reduce the flame. Top it with the veggie mix and spread the cheese on top. Cover and cook Dosa on small flame till the cheese melts and combines with the veggies. Serve hot with Tomato sauce or chutney. Enjoy!!
- You can add little butter on the sides to make it tastier and crunchier.
- Always use thick batter. If the batter is too runny, you will not get the desired result. Check how to make Idli/ Dosa Batter.
- You can mix the vegetables of your choice or chicken or paneer for toppings.
- Oregano or Pizza spices are for adding flavours.
- Mozarella/ Pizza cheese tastes better.
- Tomatoes release water so, make it immediately after chopping.
- Always serve hot.
