Flour/Maida | : 4 tbsp |
Kashmiri Chili Powder | : ¾ tsp |
Pepper Powder | : ½ tsp |
Oregano/ Italian seasoning | : ¼ tsp |
Egg | : 1 no. |
Oats | : ¾ cup |

Method:
Wash and cut the beef into thin strips. Pound each strip with a meat mallet or hammer to tenderize it. Add ginger garlic paste, salt and lime juice to the pound beef strips and mix well.
Roast the peanuts. You can roast them in oven or a pan. Crush the oats and peanuts to a nice crumble. Mix the flour, pepper, chili powder and oregano. Coat the beef strips in this mixture and shake off excess flour. Beat an egg and dip the coated beef strips in the egg and then nicely coat with the oats and peanut crumble. Transfer to a bowl and cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or more.
Heat oil and fry the beef strips to a golden brown. Please don’t overcrowd the pan. Drain them in a kitchen towel. Serve hot with Tomato ketchup or Garlic Mayonnaise dip. Enjoy!
Tips:
- While pounding meat, place the beef strips in a cutting board and pound with a meat mallet or meat hammer. Don’t beat hard to tear the meat, but pound evenly on both sides to get a thinner strip.
- You may also use corn flour instead of flour.
- You may roast raw shelled peanuts that you get in super markets. You can roast them in oven or microwave or dry roast in a thick bottomed pan.
- Please don’t overcrowd the pan while frying beef strips.
- Fry in medium heat to allow the beef strips to cook evenly.
